‘They taught us hate, they taught us fear, they taught us anger, they taught us war, how about we teach them love?’
On a journey from Beirut to Berlin, she has conquered all before her. Next, it’s time for Glasgow and that famous crowd. Talented Producer and DJ Nur Jaber is set to join us at InterChange on the 28th of September at Club 69
Growing up in Beirut playing the drums and bass guitar, it wasn’t until her arrival in Berlin in 2010 that she was first introduced to Techno music and the dance culture which is so prevalent, this was the beginning of a passionate love affair. In Techno, she experienced a sense unity which she saw manifest in everyone dancing.
Nur Jaber quickly settled in to her new home, regularly landing guest slots at Berghain and a residency with STAUB at://about blank. She has been gradually establishing herself as a heavyweight techno artist and DJ releasing ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ on her own label OSF. She continues to develop and grow her style as a DJ and artist, playing some shows with live vocals over her sets.
2017 ended with her debut at Parisian Club Concrete and 2018 saw the launch of her debut Album: If Only – A State of Peace. Nur has put on some exceptional club shows & festivals over the last few years including; Reaktor (Amsterdam), 7001 Festival (Berlin), closing De School Amsterdam during ADE, Timeshift in Bologna and Blitz in Munich to mention a few.
Influenced by her upbringing, Nur Jaber sees the dance floor as a form of self-healing meditation. Her cultural experiences have without doubt inspired and enriched her music which contains deeper messages and meanings.
We are extremely excited to be hosting her at InterChange and look forward to an emotional and energetic performance by a DJ that holds no genre limitations.Listen - https://soundcloud.com/nurjaberbeirut
